New release date for multi-factor authentication

The isolved security enhancements associated with IdentityServer Phase 2 will be released on Thursday, April 25. Please note this is an off-cycle release.

Watch this quick video that shows how logging in to isolved People Cloud will change.

These Phase 2 enhancements provide additional security measures to help prevent fraudsters from accessing your critical employee information, including multi-factor authentication and a reduced inactivity timeout. Cybercriminals have become more sophisticated, so your Insperity Workforce Acceleration technology is changing to keep pace. Please see this Help Center article for additional information about the changes included in this release, such as training materials and FAQ’s.

isolved Benefit Services changes

isolved Benefit Services has made the following improvements to enhance your experience.

isolved has changed their banking partner to JP Morgan. While it should not impact benefit services, if you have enabled Direct Debit you will need to change the bank authorized to debit your accounts.

It has also introduced a dedicated email address to enhance the way you receive updates on claims submitted by participants. The email address is now BenServicesTreasury@isolvedhcm.com

You should have already received an email from BenServicesTreasury@isolvedhcm.com. Please be aware that any communications from this address are legitimate and will be used for claims notifications and billing questions. Please add this email address to your safe senders list so you continue to receive important iBS information. If you have any questions about these changes, please reach out to your Benefits Specialist.

multi factor authentication

Important update: Be ready for multifactor authentication

A tentative date has been set for Identity Phase 2 – Multifactor Authentication. With an anticipated date of March 1, 2024, all users will be required to utilize multifactor authentication (MFA) as a mandatory security measure each time they log into isolved. This change affects all users, including employees.

Make sure you and your employees are prepared for the new way you will log into isolved when Identity Phase 2 is released. Read Enhanced Security is coming to isolved People Cloud! in the Insperity® Help Center to understand what is coming and what you need to do to prepare.

Identity phase 2 brings enhanced security to isolved People Cloud on Dec 1.

Starting Friday, Dec. 1, multi-factor authentication (MFA) will be required at every login to isolved People Cloud.

We take the protection of your data very seriously and are focused on creating a stronger, more secure experience that protects personally identifiable information (PII), along with sensitive business and payroll-related information.

To further strengthen the security of isolved People Cloud, important enhancements will take effect on Dec. 1. All users, including employees will:

  1. Be timed out of isolved after 15 minutes of inactivity. The 15-minute timeout will not be configurable.
  2. Be required to have multi-factor authentication every time they log into isolved.

We recognize this is a necessary, but big change. To make it easier for your employees, we wanted to point out that the existing email and text authentication method in isolved will still be available to use.  To take advantage of text verification for MFA, please ensure your employees log into self-service and update their mobile phone number.

Your employees don’t need to setup an additional alternative authentication method, if they are comfortable with email or text.  They would simply need to bypass the setup process at login. And if they choose to setup an alternative authentication process in the future, they will be able to do so.

Coming soon! Identity Phase 2 – Multi-factor Authentication

In an ongoing commitment to ensure optimal security, isolved People Cloud will require additional safeguards at login to maintain confidentiality and integrity and secure accessibility for your business. Effective Nov. 3, 2023, all users will be required to utilize multi-factor authentication (MFA) as a mandatory security measure each time they log into isolved.

Each client and employee can select their own way of providing their multi-factor authentication. In addition to the two-factor authentication options of text and email you already have in isolved today, additional methods of authentication will become available with this release:

  • Third-Party authentication applications: Authenticate with applications that generate time-based, one-time passwords. There are many apps available, including Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator and Authy.
  • FIDO2 passwordless authentication security keys: These small physical devices are easy to use because there’s nothing to install and no codes to enter. Security keys are a great solution if mobile devices aren’t an option for users. Keys are available from manufactures like YubiKey.
  • Platform authenticators: Use a desktop application or a mobile device’s built-in authenticator service, such as Windows Hello, Touch or Face ID. Each user would need to enable these native options on their device of choice to use them.

FAQs can be found on the Insperity Help Center regarding MFA. Please watch for additional information about MFA in your biweekly release notes and emails.

Coming soon! The isolved login process is getting easier

Effective Friday, June 30, all users will enter their email address as their username when logging into isolved. This means client users who also have access to Employee Self-Service and users with login credentials to multiple companies within isolved will no longer need to sign out and back in to get the access they need. Individual users with only one Employee Self-Service account will not be affected by this change; they will continue to log in with their email address.

Individual users with more than one account attached to their email address will be prompted to select which account they want to access.

Once you select the account you want to access, you can easily toggle between associated accounts by using the new Change User feature, which will become available within isolved as part of this migration. You will only have one email address and one password to remember! Watch this quick video to see how easy it will be to move between your accounts – isolved login update

The first time you log into isolved on or after June 30, you will be asked to go through a simple process to migrate your account. After that, you will always use your email address to log into isolved. Please look for important information regarding this migration in future editions of the HUB,  your biweekly isolved release notes and emails.
