Telemedicine treatment options
The CDC is recommending the use of telemedicine evaluation and treatment to limit the potential spread of the virus. Many carriers are offering this service through their Member Services website and mobile application. For many employees that use their carrier’s designated telemedicine providers, the virtual visit is covered, and costs less than a doctor’s office or urgent care clinic visit.
