New I-9 form released

I-9 forms are used to verify the identity and employment authorization of individuals hired for employment in the United States. All U.S. employers must complete an I-9 form for everyone they hire for employment in the U.S.

United States Citizenship and Immigration (USCIS) released a new I-9 form on Jan. 31, 2020. This form should be used immediately, but the USCIS is allowing employers a grace period until May 1, 2020.

You can find the new form on the HR Support Center by searching Form I-9. The link to the HR Support Center can be found in the Quick Links section of your Client Landing Page.

You can also find the form on the USCIS website.

If you use iSolved for employee onboarding and I-9 verification, iSolved will update the form prior to the May 1 deadline, but a release date has not yet been set. Insperity will provide an update regarding the release of the new form in iSolved.
