Meet the team: Jackie Shannon

As manager, customer success, Jackie is responsible for supporting a team of customer success specialists. She enjoys being a strategic partner with Insperity’s internal consultants to help identify process improvements that lead to a better customer experience. Jackie is committed to organizational and customer success by proactively engaging internal departments to foster collaboration and teamwork among key stakeholders. She feels blessed to be surrounded by so many talented people. 

Jackie is passionate about her career at Insperity because her personal mission, To make the lives of those around her a little bit better” aligns with Insperity’s mission “To help businesses succeed so communities prosper. She believes much of her success stems from active listening, genuine compassion, resourcefulness and old-fashioned grit.    

Jackie’s most recent academic accomplishment was receiving her doctorate in organizational leadership and communication from Northeastern University, in Boston, Massachusetts. When Jackie’s not at work, she enjoys the outdoors, watching movies, reading, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Meet the team: Karen Barton

Senior payroll specialist

As a senior payroll specialist on the Workforce Acceleration team, Karen is responsible for meeting her client’s needs that pertain to payroll processing and reporting.

Karen has extensive experience and plays a leading role on her team. She knows the importance of strong, trusting and honest communication, and she’s always reaching out to get to know her clients and the struggles their businesses face. And if she’s asked a question she doesn’t know the answer to, she will always find someone who does and get back to you.

There aren’t many things that Karen loves more than the Houston Astros and to call her a die-hard fan is probably an understatement. When she’s not at the office or watching baseball, she enjoys being outdoors and exploring the city on her bike. Karen is the mom of two, Kyra 21 years old and Nathan 19. Most recently, her oldest enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was accepted into a competitive linguistics program, making Karen a new Air Force mom who couldn’t be prouder.

Meet the team: Andrew Herrera

Benefits operations specialist

As a benefits operations specialist on the Workforce Acceleration team, Andrew is responsible for supporting clients with the administration of their health and welfare benefit plans. He also handles benefits-related matters such as payroll deductions, initial and open enrollment, and setting up COBRA for terminating employees.

He is passionate about making the lives of his clients easier so they can focus on what’s most important: running and growing a successful business. Andrew prides himself on his ability to listen, a quality that allows him to establish trusting relationships and treat every customer and situation with care.

Andrew studied business administration at the University of Texas at San Antonio. In his spare time, he enjoys biking and doing other outdoor activities.
